REPLACEMENT WINDOW & DOOR WARRANTIES
The Learning Center
Although a warranty my claim to be a Lifetime warranty, the window, or some of its components, may begin to pro-rate over time. A
warranty may be called a Lifetime Limited warranty, but within the stipulations, or criteria, you can see that you may be responsible to pay
a portion of the cost after a period of time. For example, you might have to pay 50% of the window cost to replace/warrant your windows
after 10 years, and after 15 years, you may have to pay 75%, and after 15 years, you may be responsible for 90% of the cost.
Nevertheless, the warranty can still be called Lifetime (Limited). In many Lifetime Limited warranties, the performance of certain
components, such as the insulated glass seal, is pro-rated.
Be sure to read and understand the warranty before you buy to ensure you get the protection you want and need.
