company from which you purchased your windows and doors will use a subcontractor rather than their own employees to install the
product. It is to your benefit to understand exactly who will be doing the work in your home and what the relationship is between them and
the company with which you have a contract. Make sure this is clearly defined in writing to your satisfaction. The last thing you want to
have to do is run down a subcontractor, who has no real allegiance to you, if you have an installation-related problem.
Many states require that if any subcontractors are used, they need to be clearly identified on your contract. If this is not a legal
requirement in you particular state, it will still be to your benefit to ask for this information.
