REPLACEMENT WINDOWS
The Learning Center
The Low-e coating used in most high efficiency windows will make the glass appear slightly darker. The degree of darkness is dependent
upon the type and number of Low-e coating applied to the surface of the glass. In general, you will not be able to notice this slightly darker
appearance unless the window is directly next to a window with clear glass.
Reflective glass, which is not typically used in residential applications because of cost and appearance, can make the glass significantly
darker. Reflective glass can also be produced in different colors.
