Like most insurance, it probably will not be used, but it is important for it to be there if it is needed. When having work done on your home, the probability of something going wrong is small, but the risk can be extremely high, and costly, if something does go wrong. There are two types of insurance coverage a contractor needs to have in place to protect you, Liability and Workman’s Compensation. Liability insurance protects you from damage to your home or property caused by contractor negligence or ignorance.
