In short, Neat Glass technology uses two permanent chemicals, which allows nature to help clean your windows. Normal glass has roughness and ridges that collect dirt and make water “bubble” and stick to the glass surface, leaving water spots when it dries. Neat Glass smoothes out the surface with a thin layer of silicon dioxide making the surface perfectly smooth and slick, thus, reducing water spots.

Next, the Neat Glass phenomena uses nature to wash away organic material from your windows. The other half of the Neat Glass process deposits titanium dioxide on the glass, which reacts with the sun’s UV rays to decompose and loosen the dirt on your windows. So, the next time it rains, the decomposed material is carried off of your windows in a sheet of water (because of the smoothed layer on the glass), not in streams or drips. This physically happens because when water lays on a flat smooth surface, the water becomes hydrophilic (“water liking”) and flattens out.
